Collection Policy

The Slavic Miniature Books Digital Library manifests the richness of Eastern European thought and cultural heritage. The Digital Library will grow with the physical collection it represents: a humanities and social sciences collection with a mission to support study and research of history, culture, arts, literature, sociology, politics and economics within Slavic spheres of influence.

For each newly acquired miniature in print format at the Reading Room of the Slavic and East European Collection, this digital service will add electronic resources such as digital images, catalog records, tags, and textual descriptions and annotations to represent the physical volume. Objectives for future enhancements include fuller English annotations, as well as providing access to public domain full text resources, where available.

Our Digital Library is committed to quality customer service and will actively solicit feedback from users in order to plan future development of the site. The manager will collect reader emails and customer survey data (as found on the Contact page) for such planning purposes.
