Izbrannoe 'Favorites' is a collection of poems by Andrei Bely (Андрей Белый), a.k.a. Boris Nikolaevich Bugaev (1880-1934). Bely was a poet, novelist, critic and theorist; influenced by Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Kant and friend of Solovyov he became the leading representative of Russian symbolism. The poems collected into this volume reflect the "spiritual evolution of the poet".
