Luknja v Glavi 'Holes in the Head' is a collection of satirical aphorisms by Slovenian essayist, playwright, director and arguably greatest satirist Žarko Petan. He lived through World War II, Yugoslavian Communism, and its demise: "The ship is surely sinking; the rats are buying yachts." and independent Slovenia: "Communism was a repressive system but post-comunism is a depressive one." The irony he saw in was his inspiration: "Each time I read Kafka, I am struck by how idyllic life was in his day."
